Today , with this high rate of car accidents and what they do with rate of the death cases and the rate of serious injuries , government try to start requiring a high level of safety and security . Also car factories try to develop their technologies to achieve that high level . Day after day , they searching about solutions that can reduce that big numbers of death cases around the world. As a result, early in 70s , a protection device started to appear to give the passengers and drivers of cars the safety .This device called :
Airbag
Airbag:is a bag full with air, it inflates when triggered by a crash , it give the people who inside the car the maximum protection .
The air bag system is a components of three major parts :
1-Crash censers:this part ,is which send a message or singles to the infiltrator unit.
2-Inflator unit:it help the air bag to appear in the exact time.
3-Air bag: the bag that provide the protection for the passengers and drivers.
There are many types of airbags ,here i will give you a brief explanation fore each :
1-Front air bag : is the first produced kind of airbags , and usually it stated in front of the driver and the front passenger.
2-Side airbags :this airbag created , in order to protect the passengers from side crashes . It usually stated between the passengers and the windows .
3-knee airbag:it helps to protect the drivers legs, but until now it is rare.
4-Rear airbag: "Rear curtain airbags cover the back window and rear center airbags cushion passengers from one another during an impact".
5- Motorcycle airbag: a new generation of motorcycles get an air bag to protect driver head in case of front crash .

It is true that , some time airbags is dangerous , but since they appear ,the rate of car accidents death or serious injuries reduced. The national traffic safety administration reported that a car with airbags can provide a protection against death in rate of more than 80% , which is a lot. also there are reports that tells , air bags save more than 20,000 person every year around the world.
Also, some governments when they gate ware about the importance of the airbags ,they started require it in produced or imported cars . As a result of that , the number of cars that has at least 5 air bags doubled to be in 2010 around 260 million car . As a result for that number , the rate of saved lives by the airbags increased from 34% to be 53% in 2010.
I think , air bags can save lives and give another chance , also from their first appearance until now , they still an important factor in covering drivers mistakes and saving their lives .
